This wine is gold in color, very brassy looking. The nose is rich - it keeps changing with every sniff, but there is a definite minerally, iron like aroma wafting from the glass - along with ripe stone fruit...apricot and peach.
The wine is just short of viscous on the palate - mouth coating and rich - yet not fat or cloying. A nice edge of stony acidity keeps the wine refreshing. It has a nice clean and moderately long finish and partners well with food.
Terrific effort with fruit from the Gaia vineyard.
