WTN: A quick note on the '96 Musar

by Mike Filigenzi » Sun Apr 15, 2007 12:35 am

Had this tonight to toast a friend's recent promotion. Opened it and decanted it back into the bottle a couple of hours before dinner. It was pretty bricky in the glass and the nose gave up a good hit of volatility. There was plenty to go with that, though. Full-bodied, with some tang from all kinds of acidity, firm mid-palate, long finish. Everyone liked it a lot and it went very well with lamb and garlicky eggplant puree.
