1998 Chehalem Pinot Noir Jacob-Hart Vineyard
At first the nose was just weird. Then it just disappeared. No grid for this. Flavors were odd and showing a lot of heat. I was not finding much pleasure but my wife enjoyed it. The wine had lots of sediment. Overall I have been very disappointed with how the Jacob-Harts have aged. I enjoyed them at release and thought they showed potential. I have one left that I will hold onto for a few years. I’ll break it out when I feel like taking a risk. 82 pts.
