WTN: 2005 J. u. H. A. Strub Niersteiner Bruckchen Riesling Kabinett

This wine from the Rheinhessen was available in 375 ml bottles with screwcaps, so I pounced on a case last year. Peachy, chalky and bright, this is a very nice bottle for a summer-like day (say today). It's easy to drink, noticeably off-dry but well balanced. This is much bigger than any Bruckchen I have bought in prior vintages, but while seeming very much like a spatlese, it does retain some level of kabinett delicacy.

Good stuff and cheap.
