Had a small dinner party last night with a local chef, the wine buyer for the largest wine shop in St. Louis and a wine geek friend from OZ. I decanted a wine and ask people what they thought without showing them the label. Everyone liked it and the wine buyer immediately said Syrah from Northern Rhone.
It was '01 Wylie-Fenaughty Syrah from ESJ. Really nice wine and the guess was very acurate if you know Steve's wines.

Yeah but that's easy. How about specific appellations or vintages
