Loads of pear and spices on the nose.
Pear, apple, nectarines, spicy, peppery, a slight bitter streak, a good dose of oak, very rich and lush in the mouth but with enough acidity to keep everything clean and refreshing. A very classy wine with good complexity and structure.
I seem to have a great deal of good luck with white wines from Sicily.
A steal at $14.95 (Canadian).
