2006 Palandri, Riesling, Western Australia, $13. Lime, peach and petrol aromas lead to lemon/lime flavors. Lean and crisp, this is definitely a food-friendly Riesling at a great price; 88/90.

This is my first experience with this winery.

Sounds good. Do you know who imports/distributes the wine in the USA?

Palandri are a big (and slightly controversial) wine company in Western Australia. Whilst they're certainly commercial (I think a little too much so for some in the region), the wines I've tasted haven't been bad and I suspect there's some decent value to be had at times. Not a company whose wines I'd actively seek out for tasting (in fact I'd tend to veer away from them), but maybe a useful commercial counterbalance to the Margaret River norm.

regards

Agree, Ian. Some of their wines have appeared at various wine shows here and are very drinkable. No sign of the Riesling, I just checked on the `net!!
