WTN: 2001 Creekside Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

by Michael K » Mon Jul 02, 2007 11:24 pm

Opened this tonight more out of curiosity than anything else (and it was Canada Day yesterday...oh well late again...). Wine is from Niagara area.

Deep purple red with no bricking yet though some sediments. Nose of cedar, asian/Indian spices and ripe red fruits. On palate much the same with some pepperiness, good high tone acidity and a decent persistence. Cool weather cab that has quite a bit of structure. Tannins are a bit on the harsh side and give a hint of bitterness. Long finish. $25 USD at then's exchange rate Not boring.
