2004 August Kesseler Riesling Estate QbA - Germany, Rheingau (7/8/2007)
A couple of years of age have really slimmed this down. The acids are front and center & it takes a while (and some warming) for the fruit to come out. Drinking well now after some time in the glass, but I would get to it soon before the fruit fades away.

My case is all gone as well as the case of "R". These were very enjoyable wines.

This one still is enjoyable. It just needs drinking soon. I only have one left though, so it may be held in the interest of science.

I had this the other night and really enjoyed it, David. What signs do you look for that tell you that it should be drunk up sooner than later?

Just the balance of fruit and acid. I liked it a lot as well (even tonight on night two), but the balance is getting a bit precarious.

Let's face it, it's not a wine meant to be cellared, so why bother. Enjoy what it has to give now.
