WTN: Torbreck The Struie Shiraz 2002

Very dark, opaque. Berries and spice on the nose then some measured creamy oak as well. Dry and spicy in the mouth with a long finish that hints at sour candy. Smooth, polished wine ready to drink now. A good wine but no wow for me although it made an excellent drink for braised lamb shank.

Sounds nice, Jay. This is the second positive Torbreck note I've seen in a couple of days (the other was for their semillion, which I'm planning on buying this weekend).

Glad to see this note, because I have two bottles of this wine in my cellar. I was not sure if they were ready.
