I'm not a Bordeaux-hound by any stretch, but this was an amazing wine. It is almost 25 years old, the color is still vibrant, the dark cherry fruit still youthful with some earthy/funky elements to make it interesting. This is a poster child for balance. I described it as joyous while another taster probably nailed it with his descriptor of "righteous". About the only downside is that the wine just screams for lamb and I wasn't serving that.
The wine is in a very nice place right now, but I don't think there is any need to rush out and drink up if you're lucky enough to be sitting on a stash of these.
Thanks, Mitch!!

Thanks for the notes, I still have a couple of bottles buried in my cellar. The wine has been a winner for many years and still will last somewhat longer.
