WTN: Brusco dei Barbi 2003

by Bruce Hayes » Sat May 06, 2006 8:27 pm

Fattoria dei Barbi, Tuscany.

Dark cherry red in the glass.

Sweet cherry fruit and light spice on the nose.

Medium-weight, mouthcoating, with cherry fruit, tangy acidity, light spices. A moderately big, rich, warming wine.

Well priced at $12.95 Canadian.

Hi Bruce,

I have had this wine and I really liked it. Good QPR, and the wine goes well with food. Good colour, nice finish, good nose, tasty cherry fruit, nice tannins, and good mid-palate feel. I am looking forward to my next bottle.
