Reading some Rumpole legal humour lately and came across this wine description:

Chateau Fleet Street, made from grapes which, judging from the bouquet, might have been not so much trodden as kicked to death by sturdy peasants in gum boots


Must remember that for tasting notes on any particularly objectionable wines!

Good one! Haven't had a pulao in ages but I prefer biryani as it has more depth of flavour - lot of work, though, unless you have an Afghan restaurant handy. And if you get bad Afghan food you might falafel an hour later!

I think I've seen a variant on that one, something about presenting the sauceboat on a very bright and shiny tray because there's no plate like chrome for the hollandaise.
