Thank you. I admire the work of Hans Sebald Beham. Despite being a "Little Master" it isn't so easy to find a work that excerpts nicely into an even littler avatar.

And who doesn't like putti buns?

A British pilot crash-lands in the Australian outback, but survives and regains consciousness in a hospital run by the Sisters of Mercy. When he asks for a cup of tea, the sisters tell him that they've run out of tea and their supply truck is late. But they do have a native drink brewed from koala hides. The pilot settles for that, but spits out his first mouthful, exclaiming, "This tea is filled with hair." The nun replies, "I'm dreadfully sorry, I forgot to tell you. The koala tea of Mercy is not strained."

Thanks, Paul, that is really bad!

Almost as bad as Lawrence Welk naming his twin girls Anna One and Anna Two.....

Or "I had to clean out my spice rack and noticed that everything was too old and had to be thrown out. What a waste of thyme."

Gak.

There's a similar one set in France. I don't recall the setup but it ends with "The quality of your 'merci' is quite strained" (or something like that).

Or this French/English polygot pun: A Frenchman at an English restaurant orders one egg for breakfast. When the waiter asks why only one egg, the man replies, "Un oeuf is enough."

Aha - polyglot puns!

"Two cats are having a swimming race. One is called “One Two Three”, the other “Un Deux Trois”. Which cat won?

“One Two Three” because “Un Deux Trois” cat sank."

"A baguette in the butt would be a pain in the ass."

"Gazpacho soup". A famous line from the British SciFi comedy TV series Red Dwarf.

I watched that series some years ago and liked it.
