Can someone tell me what hanger steak is and what part of the animal it can be found? I'm seeing it more and more often after first encountering it at Charlie Palmer's here in DC.

It comes from the plate, and is the muscle that "hangs" from the diaphragm of the animal.
It has a very beefy taste. It is known as onglet in France.
