Spotted in Lewiston, Idaho, yesterday: The Tomato Bros. Italian Restaurant. Now what could be more non-threatening to someone who pronounces Italian "eye-talian"?

My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Must be a regional thing...I hear "eye-talian" all the time, I even say it now and then, even though I do know how to say it correctly. Maybe eye-talian just slides off the tongue easier!

In Maine they call subs "Italians." Also in Greenville ME there is a Road Kill Cafe.
