We dined out tonight at Liang's Cafe, a nice new Chinese spot in the 'burbs. Rather than the customary "authentic" menu in Chinese tucked inside a Chinese-American menu, they have it all in one, but you can detect the authentic dishes because only they are listed in both English and Chinese. We enjoyed a Sichuan hacked chicken app, a West Chinese Muslim dish of chicken and onions in a very cumin-heavy light sauce (should have been lamb, the host admitted, but "suburbs too conservative for lamb." Damn suburbs.
Also a really well-rendered version of Sichuan long beans with pork.
