Back to our regular programming: I've gone my whole life not liking crumpets. I thought they were rubbery. Turns out my husband has never one at all, so to prove to him they were rubbery I bought a pkg at Whole Foods in Vancouver. We both fell in love. Not rubbery at all, but they toast up crisp top and bottom in a toaster-oven, and the interior texture's absolutely delightful. Does everything I usually want an English Muffin for, but even better.
