Labor Day BBQ

by Howie Hart » Wed Sep 07, 2016 7:46 am

I made BBQ for a Labor Day picnic. Thanks to Chef Carey for the dry rub and sauce recipes (in the archives)! Since my taste buds are shot from my chemo treatments, I relied on the guests feedback and apparently, it was successful. Baby back ribs, mac & cheese, dirty rice & beans, cole slaw, shrimp cocktail and "corny" bread. The latter is what I posted about earlier and the guests loved it. Empty a can of creamed corn into a bowl, add an egg, beat it together, mix in a box of Jiffy Corn Muffin mix and bake at 400 deg. in an 8x8 pan for about 25-30 minutes.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.
