I never trusted Pam or other spray-on oils. I did once buy a hand-operated spray bottle that you could fill with your own oil. The problem is that the nozzle kept getting clogged. I eventually abandoned it.

Agreed: Pam was terrible. I can't even look at a spray-on oil, no matter how convenient it sounds.

Jeff, sounds like your mind is ready to be changed! There are excellent products out there now. I love being able to spray a light oily film on some things--direct on the food as well as on sheet pans that are going to hold things where you can apply just enough to prevent sticking.

I tried putting vegetable oil into a little spray bottle but that did not behave well.

My current plan is parchment paper for everybody!

But, sure, name me a couple names and I'll see what I can find in my nabe.

Sounds like most of us tried a spray bottle, even those made for purpose didn't work well. But as I said earlier in this thread, I like Spectrum organic canola. Flavorless, effective, safe.
