Thank you, everyone. It was a nice quiet day. I spent much of it playing in my garden (hubby takes me to the garden store to buy new plants for Mother's day and my b'day). I got a new pot for the deck and I outfitted it with new flora. But I also updated some of my mainstays! Then waited for calls and visits from family. They all came through, except for my wayward son. Somehow he always forgets which day it is! :(

Thank you, Robin. It's my pride and joy. What you see is about 1/5th of it. I have a dedicated rose garden and a shade garden and about 3 additional rooms in my south facing garden. I visit her every morning and occasionally I have tea in the garden in front of my herb garden (in an old wheelbarrow and planted sitz bath). It has grown and changed a lot over the last 25 years or so. And, I love it.

Jo, what are the red trumpet-shaped blossoms in 'garden2'? They look a bit like Morning Glories, but I've never seen M.G. in that color.

Just spectacular! Thanks for a peek.
Would love to see each individual garden and hear more about their design and evolution. Everything looks so healthy, happy and lush. Brava!

Those are petunias.

The shade garden should be ready for show in about 3 weeks. Waiting for the ligularia and astilbe to come to flower. That is when it is most spectacular. The rose garden should be in full bloom in about a week to 10 days. I waited a bit long before I pruned this year. They are just in bud. I will update this post with pictures at that time.
