I thought Lisa Ling was an American journalist, television personality, and author. When did she get into cooking? I used to see her on TV a lot, maybe a news show I watched.

In this series she's not into cooking, per se, she is taking us on a journey into the various Asian cultures that have had an impact on American life. This journey happens to be through food, which is the path that most Asians had to take that gave them entre into the American dream. Ultimately it is a history lesson on Asians in America. Well done.
