I read that storing cottage cheese and sour cream upside down helps them stay fresh longer. I did the research, and proof of that hack is mixed. I have NOT purchased two tubs and tested this theory on either product. What is your experience?

I think sour cream is almost indestructible; doesn't much matter how you store it as long as the lid is on.
Cottage cheese is somewhat perishable, I think, so should be eaten more quickly.

Upside down? What the heck difference could that make?

Google it. There is a lot of scientific info about it, but I think it is rather nuts, but then I did not major in food storage.
