Not movies, but TV shows dedicated to food. Not talking about the current food shows that treat cooking like gladiatorial games with people like Ramsay in charge, but rather shows where food is a focus of a show but drama takes it’s part as well. The best ones I have seen are the British series, and I thought that I’d list them in case any were unfamiliar to people.
1. Chef! Starring Lennie Henry as the star (1993–1996) and chef - this classic sitcom follows his attempts to maintain a Michelin-starred restaurant while dealing with eccentric staff and personal debt.
2. Whites (2010) - highly accurate and often bittersweet sitcom starring Alan Davies as a weary executive chef at a country house hotel.
3. Boiling Point (2023) - his BBC series follows a kitchen team navigating the intense emotional and professional pressure of a high-end restaurant.
4. Posh Nosh (2003): A brilliant nine-episode satire starring Richard E. Grant and Arabella Weir. It parodies the pretentiousness of upper-class food culture and celebrity chefs through ten-minute "morsels" of sharp, sardonic comedy.
5. Delicious (2016–2019): Set in Cornwall, this drama focuses on the complicated relationship between a superstar chef’s ex-wife and his current wife as they manage a hotel and restaurant together, simmering with family secrets and "spicy tension"
