Albuquerque has lots of cockroaches. At night, if you turn on your porch light, you'll see hordes of them marching toward your house like zombies in a horror movie. No doubt they'll eventually take over the world.
To stay on their good side, I occasionally feed them some delicious cockroach food. My recipe is to mix together some boric acid powder, flour, sugar, and cocoa powder (if you have any). Add some water to make a heavy paste and roll the mixture into little balls. Mmm, mmm. Throw them outside (or inside) and, by the next morning, they'll look like swiss cheese. Roaches like them so much, there'll be nothing left in a day or two. You'll notice a only dead cockroach or two afterward, but the others who nibble on the balls help share boric acid among their friends when they go home.
I need to make some more roach balls. If I find my diatomaceous earth, I'll add that to spice up the recipe and hopefully become a 4-Star Michelin-star roach restaurant, the Chez Larry.
