Oysters for who hates them raw

Yes, they are tasty also cooked.
We had them in our favorite way ... open and with on top a mix of bread crumbs, saffron oil, chopped coriander, sliced basil, pepper and their own juices. Then, cooked under an hot grill for 5' or so.
Served with a good low-dosage champagne (for us Boulard Nature)

I wish they were still here!

I'll eat oysters any way I can get them. Raw, baked, deep fried, simmered in soup, even grilled.

They can also be popped on a hot grill until they open up and then doused with a little lemon juice or tabasco or whatever. Very tasty.

Those in the photo look fantastic, though!

Francesco, as usual, your photography is as good as your cooking.

Mike, I watched an episode of Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything show on PBS this weekend, and Boston chef Chris Schlesinger BBQ'd oysters and clams together, topping them with a sauce made from BBQ sauce, Frank's hot sauce, garlic and lemon juice. Seemed like a nice sweet-salty-sour-hot sauce for grilled shellfish, and the viscosity was a plus.

Wow...those actually look tasty. My one positive experience with raw oysters occurred on Bourbon Street (Nyawlins) about 25 years ago. At 4AM, they tasted great. Couldn't get enough of em'....

But...the next day. I couldn't get a single one down. Haven't been able to eat em since.
