French translation please

by Jim Grow » Mon Jun 12, 2017 3:13 pm

I sent an email to Duval-Leroy inquiring as to the probable age of a bottle of Champagne (with code #) I want to bring to MoCool.
The reply was almost immediate but in French, see below. Can anyone out there in web-land translate it for me. Thanks!

HS Friench is rusty, but looks like merely an anti-spam tool, click here ("Ici") to authenticate.
Just first time, then you'll be in their address book.

And in case it's not obvious, "Cliquez ICI pour vous authentifier" means "click here to authentificate you" or something like that. Those words should be clickable.

And if you need any other translations, Google translate is pretty good for most Western European languages. I usually type "french to english" in the search box, then copy and paste the French into where it says "enter text". Don't mean to stop you talking to us here, Jim, but thought you might find it handy to know.

And if you do use google translate, this is what you get:
"Hello,
You have just sent me an email. As part of anti-spam, I am protected by MailInBlack anti-spam.

This is the first time we exchange, so you need to authenticate so I can receive your email.
- Click HERE to authenticate yourself -
During our next exchanges, this operation will no longer be required of you.
Thank you for supporting us in this responsible approach.

Champagne

CHAMPAGNE DUVAL LEROY"

Indeed not bad for an automatic translation!

Greetings from Sweden / Fredrik L

I am still unable to authenticate as Dales "click here" is inactive as is Duval-Leroys reply. My last bottle from the same batch was quite delicious so I'll assume this bottle is the same. Thanks all for the help.

I was just trying to translate not put in a link, but very surprising that "Ici" in "Cliquez ICI pour vous authentifier" in original isn't a hyperlink as Robin says. Sorry it didn't work

I got another email from Duval-Leroy with an active anti-spam link that worked just fine. I now await their response. This is all in an effort to take my oldest Champagne to MoCool in August.

Funnily enough, just got one of these replies today when sending an email to a French colleague.

Had never seen such before, but from this sample size of 2 French respondents it seems to be a more popular tool over there!
