With roast chicken, wild rice, kale, and salad
2016 Foillard “Eponym” Morgon (On CT and my sales receipt this is listed as “Les Charmes Eponym” but I only see Eponym on label)
First time with this bottling for me. Crunchy tart red fruits, light and lively, really delicious and appealing. B+
With mushroom dumplings and shanghai bok choy in dashi broth, broiled flounder, and salad
2015 Falkenstein “Niedermenniger Sonnenberg” Riesling Spatlese Feinherb (AP#7). Really taut acids, limeade and donut peach, spicy/gingery finish. B+
Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice.Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
