Did you enjoy the Spreitzer? The Jesuitengarten Halbtrocken is an annual purchase for me.

Bob, how did those wines cope with Thai food? I would have doubts with trocken.

Tim..wasnt too bad but did concentrate on the last two. Just enjoyed the atmosphere, conversation as two at the table had just returned from Germany.

My first bottle of two purchased 3 yrs ago. 12% alc, SC, #48:13, $29 Cdn or thereabouts

Medium green-yellow in color. Took a while to open up on the nose but apple and mineral tones with a hint of grapefruit maybe?
Initial entry thought was short finish, pretty dry, not too complex. Wow..did this change after two hours! Better length, shows more fruit but still dryish. Day 2 showed some sweetness not apparent on day of opening...apple, lemon, peach, hint of sweet spice. Would not keep second bottle too long I think.

Well of course, especially the Jesuitengarten. There are a whole lot of vineyards in Deidesheim. Which particular one are you thinking about? Pradiesgarten? Kalkofen? Something else?

2018 Wagner Stempel Heerkretz Riesling Trocken Rheinhessen was very drinkable considering its youth. Mineral, tons of acidity lurking in the glass. Very balanced stone fruits, ripe fruit..v v enjoyable.
2018 A. J. Adam Dhroner Hofberg Riesling Trocken MSR. Lot tighter than the above wine. Lively mineral notes, big nose, would like to try this down the road. Went well with shrimp and avocado spring rolls.
1997 Stephan Ehlen Erdiner Treppchen Auslese was served with duck stir fry. Lovely color, golden yellow. Touch of petrol on the nose, ripe stone fruits, grapefruit and hint of honey. I liked this a lot, cellar book says I have the Spatlese somwhere.
